Understand a conflict. Explore what could happen next.
A conflict cannot be explained by a winner and a loser alone. Read a dated evidence snapshot, compare actors’ interests, and examine civilian consequences. Then change explicit assumptions to explore possible paths without pretending to predict the future.

A triggering event explains why a crisis intensified at a particular moment. Structural causes explain why the conditions for conflict existed. Neither is a complete explanation on its own. A timeline helps keep these levels distinct.
Know what the result can tell you
Each briefing names its region and as-of date, identifies actors and interests, summarizes a timeline, and separates documented context from uncertainties. This is a source-backed snapshot, not a live operational feed. A source can document an actor’s public claim without proving the claim true.
